Overview
This kit includes the RodeLink Wireless TX-BELT Transmitter and RodeLink Wireless RX-CAM Receiver, providing reliable 2.4 GHz digital audio transmission up to 100 m (line of sight). Both units run on standard AA batteries—no built-in rechargeables—offering up to 10 hours of operation per set. The TX-BELT Transmitter features an integrated clip for belt or pocket mounting, and the RX-CAM Receiver attaches directly to cameras via cold shoe or 3.5 mm output. LCD screens on both units display battery life, signal strength, and audio levels for easy monitoring on set. The system offers 8 selectable channels for multi-device use.

Both kits use the same RØDELink Series II 2.4 GHz system and the same camera-mounted RX-CAM receiver. The Filmmaker Kit pairs it with a bodypack TX-BELT transmitter that clips to talent and takes a 3.5 mm lavalier — the kit to reach for when dialogue needs to come from the person, not the boom.

Best for
Choose the RodeLink Filmmaker Kit for
- Interviews and dialogue with a hidden lav on talent
- Presenters, walk-and-talks and vlogs, where the speaker is on the move
- Camera-mounted setups, with the receiver feeding straight into camera
- Light, simple kits for a single speaker
Choose the RodeLink Newsshooter Kit for
- Wireless booming — a shotgun on a pole with no cable back to camera or recorder
- Handheld interview mics for vox pops, events and red-carpet work
- Wireless actor lavs, using an XLR lav such as the Micbooster Clippy XLR
- Any microphone that needs 48 V phantom power
- Scan the location by listening, then pair transmitter and receiver on a clear channel before talent is wired.
- Maintain line of sight where possible and keep the beltpack antenna away from bodies, metal, and crowded Wi-Fi devices.
- Set transmitter gain for the speaker, then set camera input low enough to avoid clipping its preamp.
- Use fresh matched AA batteries, secure the locking 3.5 mm connectors, and monitor the camera return rather than RF meters alone.
